NIPAWIN — The Nipawin town council approved the replacement of the Evergreen Centre elevator during the recent council meeting. Chelsea Corrigan, the parks and recreation director, spoke on the project at the Oct.

EAST CENTRAL — After pausing school sports for a week, the Horizon School Division has allowed them to resume. The pause took place from Oct. 27 to 30 after a case of COVID-19 was diagnosed in a person at Viscount Central School.

TISDALE — Although the shorthanded Tisdale Trojans fell in their season opener, the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League squad was happy to be back on the ice. The Trojans lost 7-0 to the Saskatoon Blazers on Sunday afternoon.

HUMBOLDT — For the first Halloween since the COVID-19 pandemic began, households and businesses were forced to get creative in handing out their treats to the young ghosts and ghouls throughout the community.

HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt and District Food Bank received a $33,750 boost from Olymel. Casey Smit, an Olymel vice-president, presented the cheque, the result of its Giving Back Together campaign, to the food bank on Oct. 30.

HUDSON BAY — There will be no election in Hudson Bay. Mayor Glenn McCaffery and five out of six councillors will return, while a newcomer will fill the last seat.
