EAST CENTRAL— After Easter, the North East School Division (NESD) has planned classes to resume through supplemental learning in a home environment.

HUMBOLDT — Humboldt’s two dance studios have moved all their classes to the internet. Impact Dance Company has been conducting their classes through Zoom, a remote internet conferencing service.

HUMBOLDT — The City of Humboldt is encouraging residents to contact the city if they are having difficulty to pay their utility bills as normal due to the pandemic. At the present time, the city is mailing out utility bills as normal.

Social Services Minister Paul Merriman announced in a press conference Tuesday the provinces plan to support Saskatchewan’s most vulnerable citizens during the COVID-19 crisis.

EAST CENTRAL — COVID-19 testing sites have been established in seven communities across east central Saskatchewan.

Ryan Meili, the leader of the provincial Democrats, held a press conference on Tuesday to call for enhanced support for seniors during the COVID-19 crisis.

HUMBOLDT — All city-owned playgrounds are closed to the public. In a media release, the city said it’s concerned about transmission of the coronavirus.

MELFORT— The City of Melfort has instructed anyone who requires trash to be hauled, outside of regularly scheduled pickup, to contact a licensed commercial hauler.

NIPAWIN—Nipawin utility bills may be deferred until Sept. 27, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This was decided in a special meeting of Nipawin council on March 27. While utility bills can be deferred, they can also be paid as normal.

SASKATCHEWAN— Two Saskatchewan residents have died as a result of complications related to the COVID-19 virus. The two fatalities represent the first deaths in Saskatchewan tied to the COVID-19 pandemic.
