The leader of the provincial New Democrats is calling on the government to put an immediate ban on evictions.

HUMBOLDT — COVID-19 has led to a lot of changes in the world: cancelled events, school and business closures, and enforced quarantines and self-isolations.

As the number of confirmed cases continues to rise, the Saskatchewan Health Authority estimates the province could see 9,000 to 15,000 deaths from COVID-19.

Out of the 72 cases of COVID-19 in the province, there are four that have no clear link to other cases, said the province’s chief medical health officer.

MELFORT— The City of Melfort is asking the public to pause their response to the community call for protective equipment for local physicians after only a day.

There are six new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan as of March 24, bringing the total to 72 confirmed cases.

While the Saskatchewan Health Authority said it appreciates the public interest in donating supplies to help its point-of-care providers, they are asking people to pause the donations for a few days.

If there’s a confirmed case of a COVID-19 in your community, shouldn’t you get to know? If you ask the Saskatchewan Health Authority or the province, the answer is no.

HUMBOLDT — Around $6,000 worth of tools and diesel fuel were stolen from a trailer located at a commercial grain terminal off Highway 5 west of Humboldt. The crime took place between the evening hours of March 22 and the morning of March 23.
