EAST CENTRAL — Harvest operations have already begun in some parts of the province, according to Saskatchewan Agriculture’s weekly crop report. The report covered July 30 to Aug. 5.

TISDALE — The Tisdale RCMP stopped a household break-in in action. On Aug. 4, the detachment received a call about a possible break-and-enter at a Tisdale residence. The household residents weren’t home at the time of call.

NIPAWIN — Haley Tratch was one of several Nipawin residents who had their bicycles stolen this summer. Her bike was taken from a fenced in backyard on the night between July 29 and 30.

HUMBOLDT — Some botched attempts at charity ended up harming the organization it was meant to benefit. On Aug. 3, somebody dumped a coach outside of the Good Neighbour Store, which does not accept donations unless it is brought inside.

EAST CENTRAL — Nineteen athletes from east central Saskatchewan will be among the 346 athletes of Team Saskatchewan at the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games in Swift Current. The games start Aug. 9 and run until Aug. 18.

BRUNO — Bruno’s Cherry Sunday is back with music, dancing, food, entertainment, vendors and all kinds of fun, according to organizer Debbie Kramer.

HUMBOLDT — The city is moving ahead with a plan to require storefront business to have business licences. At its July 22 meeting, council passed a first reading of a bylaw that would charge $100 per year for the licences.
