A cross-country manhunt is underway for two Vancouver Island teens considered suspects in the murders of two young, international tourists on the Alaska Highway, as well as the death of a man on Highway 37 near Dease Lake last week.

TISDALE — The Tisdale Community Library has taken to challenging adults in the community through the adult summer reading challenge.

MELFORT — Three vehicles collided while waiting for a train to pass near Melfort over the weekend. On July 20, at 3:35 pm, Melfort Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a three vehicle collision near the intersection of Highway 3 and Highway 41A.

CARROT RIVER — Carrot River community members came together and donated their own plants after a series of town flower pots were destroyed by vandalism.

TISDALE — Youth got to experience the Regina Science Centre in Tisdale – without leaving their community. The Tisdale Community Library hosted exhibits and staff from the science centre for a three-hour activity session on July 17.

I seem to have trouble keeping a cell phone intact and in one piece. A little more than a year ago, I dropped my phone in a parking lot. The case flipped open as it fell and cell phone met pavement. Pavement won.

MELFORT — Premier Scott Moe held a cabinet meeting at the Kerry Vickar Centre in Melfort as part of a cross-province tour. Moe said the cabinet meeting, on July 17, was a standard meeting, with many cabinet members in attendance.

Humboldt and Lanigan RCMP are investigating three break-and-enters in Humboldt and Bruno that they believe were committed by the same individuals.
