Local skiers post good results at provincial meet
A cross-country skiing provincial meet hosted by the Carlton Trail Ski Club saw every local competitor place within the top four. There were 85 racers from all over the province at the Jan. 13 event at the Humboldt Golf Club.

Missing Bankend girl found by search party
A missing 11-year-old girl from Bankend was found in a frozen slough, face down in the snow but alive. The girl was transported by emergency medical services to the hospital in Wynyard to treat hypothermia and injuries related to exposure.
