NORTHEAST — Cumberland College’s board of directors is hoping to have a new president and CEO selected to replace Tom Weegar by the new year.

MELFORT — Crowds of youth gathered in Melfort for the long-awaited opening of a new skate park. “It gives the youth an opportunity to experience something that we didn’t have before,” said Rick Lang, Melfort’s mayor, at the grand opening on July 24.

NIPAWIN — One figure who made the Nipawin Regional Park what it is today was Henry Andres. “It’s just Henry Andres and he had no middle name. He was born in Saskatchewan and passed away in Saskatchewan,” said Henry’s granddaughter Kelly Andres.
