NIPAWIN — An innovative agreement to share property taxes from any new industrial development to help pay for infrastructure is dead.

NIPAWIN — A building for the gymnastics club and a group home will take up two of the three lots of a new subdivision approved by Nipawin council. The subdivision is located on 10th Avenue West. It was approved at the June 25 meeting.

We took a day to celebrate dads this past weekend with Father’s Day. And while I could not spent the day with my own father, I spent some of the day on Facebook looking at the beautiful pictures of people with their dads.

TISDALE — The Tisdale Chamber of Commerce is adding something new to the mix for its summer events – a street fair and sidewalk sale. The street fair will be held July 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

TISDALE — The skate park to be built in Tisdale has a new name – and a new location. “We are naming the park after Raelene Franklin,” said Mandy Russell, a member of the Tisdale Kinettes.

The Bruno Merchants are turning things around. After losing four straight to start the season, the Merchants have won two of their last three, after picking up a 7-0 win over the Saskatoon Poly Plus Angels on June 13 in Saskatoon.

Rain was the order of the week for the Bruno Bisons, as they were forced to postpone their June 11 contest due to rains, and had their June 14 game shortened after the rains came.
