The summer is winding down and that means the boys of winter will soon be back on the ice.

To celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, the Melfort and District Museum reached back to the founding of their city. Melfort 1884 was celebrated on the museum grounds Aug. 26.

There is good news for foster children.

Being part of Communities in Bloom is more than just flowers for Melfort. Peggy George with the Melfort Communities in Bloom said that civic pride and community involvement is something judges noticed during their visit on Aug. 3.

It was a dark time for the Tisdale Motor Speedway, as it was their first-ever night race. Bright lights from Tisdale Rentals, placed on stands from Chupa Excavating, illuminated the track for the Aug. 19 race.
