The Town of Nipawin’s restructuring continues, with council planning to rejig its standing committees and how long deputy mayors remain on duty.

It was a highly successful week for the Northeast Red Sox as they swept a pair of contests in Saskatoon Men’s Baseball League action. The Red Sox kicked off their June 25 doubleheader against the C Division’s Cardinals.

Things are looking up for the Star City School Track and Field program. After sending just two athletes to provincials in 2015, the Falcons improved that number, sending five last year, and six this year, competing in 11 events.

Ah, graduation time. A time for young people to cast off their high school chains and move on into the chains of adulthood. In honour of that, I present my sagely advise to grads everywhere. 1.

It was a night of reflection for a number of people, reflecting on what they had done and where they had been. This reflection took place during the 11th Night of Champions celebration on June 24.

Humboldt does a terrific job remembering their history. On June 24 I had the opportunity to attend the Humboldt and District Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony and what a great event.
