LUKAN: James Joseph May 15, 1932 – March 31, 2017 It is with profound sadness that the family of James Joseph Lukan of the Middle Lake district announces his sudden and unexpected passing at his residence on Friday, March 31, 2017.

We are saddened to hear about the passing of Nina Schidlowsky. People will still be gathering for a celebration of her life on April 24 at the Pioneer Hotel.

The product on the ice improved for the Humboldt Broncos this season and the scouts took notice. After having none of the players who finished the season last year commit to a collegiate hockey program the Broncos have had three commit to this point.

Over the last two years I have had the joy of writing stories about a wide variety of sports, one of those being drag racing. It is really interesting to me to see so many Humboldt youth getting involved in drag racing.
