Christmas is the season that keeps on giving. On Dec. 7, the Good Neighbour Store in Humboldt held their annual redistribution event poolside at the Bella Vista Hotel.

From Dec. 21 to Jan. 4, the Humboldt and District SPCA is looking for people willing to take in some of their adoptable pets for the holidays. This would give the SPCA’s Wanda Price and her hardworking volunteers a much needed break for the holidays.

After receiving a donation from the Lutheran Vacation Bible School last week, the Humboldt & District Soup Kitchen received another donation this week.

For community organizations looking for funding, this is how they are now greeted on the Saskatoon Health Region Community Grants webpage.

This season Daniel McKitrick has turned heads with his ability on the ice for the Humboldt Broncos. His journey to the Broncos and the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League is also impressive.

Although it is not a very big place, it has a big heart. The community of Humboldt is very gracious. I have lived in Humboldt for a little over two weeks and the amount of support the community has shown for one another is incredible.

It is a sad state of the world where being offended is viewed as being wrong. Especially when it comes to racism and bigotry. There are racial terms going around that should not be used when describing a group of people.

KOPP: Bruce July 21, 1951 - December 8, 2015 Bruce passed away, at his home in Saskatoon, at the age of 64.
