JURGENS: Helena “Lena” Mary July 1, 1924 – June 13, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs.

SIERMACHESKI: Sylvia Born in Bruno, Saskatchewan May 5, 1936, Sylvia (Sally) Hope Siermacheski (Smood) passed peacefully on June 16, 2015. Sally is predeceased by her husband of 60 years Peter Siermacheski (2015), and her son Robert (2011).

DZURICH: John September 4, 1934 – June 15, 2015 Mr. John Dzurich of Humboldt, SK, passed away peacefully at Humboldt District Hospital on Monday, June 15, 2015, at the age of 80 years.

The Humboldt Gallery held the first of the summer’s teen art programs on June 18, with a printmaking session coinciding with the end of the Repetition printmaking exhibit on June 20.

HCI grad Lindsey Larson has temporarily left behind the heat of El Paso, Texas, for Winnipeg to play volleyball with the B-team of Team Canada for the month of June.

The Humboldt Hammerheads swim team kicked off the summer competitive season with a very successful 2015 Invitational Spring Meet. “The Hammerheads swam very well this weekend,” Humboldt head coach Leisl Lefebvre wrote in an email interview.

The puck does not officially drop for the 2015-2016 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League campaign until the Sept. 18-19 weekend. That does not mean that things are not happening with the local Humboldt Broncos.

The rain may have dampened fun on the amusement rides, but luckily the Bike Rodeo and Safety Day was dry and warm inside the curling rink. Although turnout was smaller than last year, the event still managed to draw in about 500 people.

When it comes to getting kids exciting about reading, the Reid-Thompson Public Library is up to the task with their upcoming annual TD Summer Reading Club.
