After the changing times and attitudes, it seems this year’s Women Entrepreneurs Week from May 4-10 is more than just a celebration of said women. It’s also about remembering the struggles of businesswomen who were discriminated against in the past.

The issue of missing people is a broad topic that covers everything from runaways to missing and murdered Aboriginal people.

Time seems to be flying by and luckily weather is warming up just in time for the June 21 Sizzler Strut. The strut is set to start at 9 a.m.

It was a packed house on Friday night at St. Dominic’s gym for the first annual Ukrainian dance recital to take place in Humboldt after many years.

For having more than 250 students and staff together in one room, the crowd was surprisingly quiet as the third annual Horizon School Division Student Day was kicked off with motivational speakers and presentations.

SENKO: Michael Andrew December 6, 1926 – May 4, 2015 Mr. Michael “Mike” Andrew Senko of Central Parkland Lodge, Lanigan, SK, passed away at his residence on Monday, May 4, 2015. He was 88 years of age.

BECKER: Michael John August 4, 1922 – May 4, 2015 Mr. Michael “Mike” John Becker of Humboldt, SK, (and formerly of Fulda, SK), passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015, at Humboldt District Hospital. He was 92 years of age.

Caregivers in Humboldt and area can now get an upgrade to their parenting skills if they so desire with the introduction of the Triple P parenting program.
