The cement base and plumbing have been installed for new showers and bathrooms, in the Meota Regional Park. This will be a welcome addition for campers and make the area more appealing than ever.

It is good to be experiencing real harvest weather this week. Last week the weather was unpredictable with light showers nearly every day which slowed down harvesting. If the present weather continues, some people will finish their harvest this week.

The first day of school found the staff of H. Hardcastle School welcoming back the students for another year. As usual, there was an assembly where the SRC welcomed the students, and sports teams were signed up for.

The Battleford Housing Authority has named the 2014 Yard Pride Contest winners. BHA holds annual yard pride contests to celebrate and encourage excellence in yard care, according to Operations Manager Cheryl Cook-Taylor.
