September has everyone back in the swing of things with school starting Sept. 2 and many organizations and events back from the summer hiatus.

Manitou Evangelical Free Church in Neilburg hosted their Weird Animals Vacation Bible School Aug. 18-22. Sixty-six children attended during the week, with an average attendance of 55 a day.

The combines are in the fields, the leaves are changing colour and campers are put away. This can only mean one thing: Maymont Central School students and staff are back. Staff officially went back to work Aug.

Hello again! The summer has passed by so quickly, but I do hope everyone had a lovely one. We certainly couldn't complain about the weather. Most days were nice and warm.

Cards were played at the Maidstone Drop In Centre Sept. 1 to start the fall activities. High score went to Debbie Sterling and low to Molly Den Ouden. Lunch was provided by Margaret MacEachern. Bingo was played Sept. 3 with a good turnout.

Ann Stewart and her daughter Dawn of Saskatoon were Tuesday visitors with Jean Stewart. They have been long-time friends. Cameron Stewart of Paynton was also in to see his mom Jean Stewart. He brought her some fresh vegetables and fish.

Borden School teachers and staff are back, hard at work designing learning goals, working on learning portfolios and thinking about how to achieve their mission of "Achieving Success Together." The only change is that Grade 2-4 teacher Ms.

Doris Lilian Cornell of North Battleford has become a supercentenarian. Supercentenarians are those rare individuals who have passed their 110th birthday.
