École Père Mercure may be a French language school, but one of its goal is bilingualism.

A City of North Battleford recreation grant and funding from Saskatchewan Lotteries has made it possible for operators of the Youth for Christ TWO42 drop-in centre to purchase recreation equipment. TWO42, located at 13107 - 31st St.

Working with the Fred Light Museum and the Town of Battleford, Battlefords Vintage Automobile Club is taking the lead on developing another display at the Fred Light Museum. The plan is to develop a 1940 era replica of the Fred Light Service Station.

David William Shury was born on Sept. 2, 1930 to William James and Florence Mildred Shury at Wilkie. He took Grades 1 through 5 at Drummond Creek School and Grades 6 through 12 at McLurg School in Wilkie.

Borden Diefenbaker Days were held May 31 - June 2, with great weather for all the events. May 31 was the perogy and ham supper put on by the Borden Community Centre Preservation Committee, with very good attendance.
