Borden Busy Bees Preschool held their graduation for the four-year-olds June 5 in the Borden Community Centre. The hall was decorated with butterflies and bouquets of lilacs on the tables.

The Battlefords Art Club had a good turnout for an overcast dull day Tuesday. Members worked in various media including watercolour, graphite and acrylic.

Former member remembered at service

Cards was played at the Maidstone Drop In Centre May 27 with Dorothy Schwartz earning the high score and low went to Denise Newton. Dorothy also supplied lunch. I was away at a convention for several days the previous week, thus no news was sent.

The Meota Hobby Band is a busy group. Tonight, Tuesday, June 11, the popular musicians will be playing at St. Joseph Hall for Seniors Fun Day. All seniors are welcome to come out for the barbecue, which starts at 4 p.m.

ÉPM official candidate for IB designation

École Père Mercure has received word it has now reached the candidacy stage in its quest to become an International Bacclaureate school. If all goes well, final authorization could be within its reach in 18 to 24 months.
