Eightieth birthday greetings go out to Lorna Bater on her recent birthday in late March. The family held a small gathering at the Bater farm home, but due to old Mother Nature, it was a real tricky day weather wise with more snow and blowing snow.

Members honoured with volunteer award

April 1 cards were cancelled as a number of seniors attended the funeral of a former member, Mervin Burgess. Mervin passed away in Pine Island March 28 at the age of 87. Funeral service was held at the Maidstone United Church April 1.
