More heat and more cool periods, a typical combination of Saskatchewan weather. We never know what's in store.
The noon luncheon Saturday was another huge success which the hall committee members really appreciate and thank everyone for coming. Some summer visitors were still around to share the tasty meal and fellowship that surrounds it.
Friends from Calgary, visiting with John and Linda MacDonald, for a few days, were Garth and Barbara Plunkett from Calgary. John gave them a tour of the village and area, which we are so proud of.
Visiting at Aunt Linda Ard's home last week, and attending the dinner, were Carrie (Lambert) and Neil Sandstrom and sons Eric and Jacob, from Calgary, Alta. Gramma Pearson also got to see quite a bit of them.
Down from Turtleford to visit these cousins were Santana and Tyler Halliwell. They enjoyed some time on the lake, skiing and tubing, so appreciated the warm weather and lack of wind, couldn't have ordered it any better. They didn't like the many grasshoppers and bugs out on the water, though.
Kaiser was played on Friday afternoon at the Do Drop In and top scores went to Anna Tucker and second to Beulah Corbiel. The two men, Ken Tucker and Peter Fylyma, ended up with low scores. It was a nice afternoon and ended with coffee and cookies.
Friday evening found folks playing Canasta. Here top couples were Gwen Lacerte and Rita Petersen and second were Arlene Walker and Muriel Tebay, again ending with coffee, desserts and socializing.
