Hi there! Well it doesn't feel like we have spring yet folks. We still have those cold winds. Anyway we are supposed to have warmer days ahead. I hope that isn't an April Fool's joke.

The melt is happening, but oh so slowly, and we will soon be complaining about the dust and our dirty cars, then the bugs on them. We will likely jump from winter straight into summer, but none too soon.

Ten individuals and two groups have been recommended to the provincial music festival following adjudication at the Battlefords Kiwanis Music Festival, which wrapped up last week.

Why am I putting something in Maymont News about Carl Ross? Well let me tell you. Carl just turned 75 April 1. No, Carl was not an April Fool's joke.

OK, so the last issue was April 3 but it really did contain an April Fool's joke in our column. Author Robert Munsch is NOT coming to Unity Public School.

The water is running, finally! The crows are back, the skunks are out and geese are trying to land on frozen water.

It was a mild spring day Tuesday, and a good number of Battlefords Art Club members turned up at the Don Ross Centre.

Maidstone Museum members hosted the annual silent auction in conjunction with the Maidstone Chamber of Commerce trade show April 5 and 6 at the Maidstone Arena. The weatherman co-operated and there was a great turnout.

From April 1-3, Maymont Central School was the site of a special event co-ordinated by Living Sky's arts learning consultant, Sherron Burns.

Winning the $100 for March at the Borden Gas Plus was Audrey Baker. Bev Assman won the coffee card. Borden School is holding a learning fair April 15, with free dessert at 6 p.m.
