Maymont hosted a spring trade show May 24 in the Maymont Memorial Hall. Thanks to everyone who were vendors and to everyone who came out to this event. All proceeds from table rent, door and lunch went to the Maymont Memorial Hall.

Now that we have entered lawn-watering season, Neilburg residents are asked to remember to water only on the day that you are scheduled to water.

Grass everywhere is growing very quickly. It is good to see it is so lush and green. I notice the grass has been cut in the village already. That will be an ongoing job from now on.

There were a few mistakes in the last news from the school. Jean Brehon has achieved 20 years of service with the Living Sky School division and Ben Stenerson received a 25-year service award. Also honoured that evening, was bus driver, George Casey.

Battlefords Art Club members got together on a fine sunny afternoon Tuesday to work on everything from acrylic abstracts to watercolour flowers to a zentangle coffee cup.

May 25 through June 1 is World Catholic Education Week, and a number of events have being going on at Light of Christ Catholic School Division schools.

It's been three years since local artist Dean Bauche retired from his position as director of galleries for the City of North Battleford, but he's not done working yet. Bauche is looking forward to his first show in North Battleford in years.

The Battlefords Photo Club held it's monthly meeting May 6. Members present viewed and voted for the photo challenge winner for the monthly challenge, "environmental" photos of the meeting room.

The Battlefords will host the annual Relay For Life event at Centennial Park Track Friday, June 6 at 7 p.m.

You've heard the old saying, there's no fool like an old fool. Do you even know what that means? It means old people are supposed to be wise, so if an old person behaves foolishly, it is worse than a young person behaving foolishly.
