Early in the morning April 6, 17 students and two teachers from North Battleford Comprehensive High School were bound for Europe. We left Saskatoon and spent 10 days exploring Italy, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic.

The North Battleford library hosted its 11th annual Flick Fest May 13. Public screenings were held, giving everyone an opportunity to come out and vote for their favourite film.

Belated birthday greetings to Gertie James, now of Lloydminster, who celebrated a special birthday Saturday evening, May 26. Family members gathered for a barbecue and festivities to celebrate the day.

It's blossom time here! Saskatoon, chokecherry, pincherry and other wild shrubs are in bloom. Those who have apple, crabapple and other fruit trees in their yards will be enjoying the blossoms. Let's hope we remain frost free.

Do we really have a force of energy emanating from our bodies that others can see, feel and manipulate? The idea of having an additional sense that can register, and perhaps even affect, something so elusive is somehow fascinating.

St. Vital Catholic School is hosting a special student-created drama production called, Cool to Care Tour, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 30. Viewings will begin about every 15 minutes between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. The last 'tour' will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Rehearsals for the Blaine Lake Annie production are underway and the acts are beginning to come together. The musical rendition is directed and choreographed by Gillian Pearson and Michelle Dunning of Blaine Lake.

Aquadeo Beach is a resort village located on Highway 4 North at the north end of Jackfish Lake. It is inhabited by approximately 200 year round residents and triple that in the summer months.

John Paul II's SRC Team planned a week of activities for students and staff to celebrate the May long weekend. The week of activities also built towards World Catholic Education Day, which took place May 17.
