Students enter 96 posters in RP competition

Radisson Royal Purple (RP) held their regular meeting Feb. 4 at the Radisson Seniors' Centre with six members coming in the afternoon to judge posters, followed by a short business meeting.

Recreation board workshops break up winter

A Jan. 7 meeting of the RM of Glenside Recreation Board has been postponed. The meeting will be held at a later date at the home of Andrea Owen of Spinney Hill. March 9, the recreation board will be holding a craft bag project.

Final Telemiracle fundraiser this weekend

Tickets at the door - only one week left before our final Telemiracle fundraiser adventure, at Maymont Hall Feb. 16. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $15, including lunch. There will be a silent auction table, 50/50 and door prizes.

Sangsregret rink tops ladies' spiel

The annual Edam Ladies' Bonspiel was held on the weekend of Feb. 8 and 9 with eight rinks taking part. The first draw was on the ice at 7 p.m. and the second draw at 9 p.m. The games started again at 10 a.m. Saturday with draws at noon, 3 p.m.

Families of École Père Mercure school were treated to two special presentations by author and motivational speaker David Bouchard. Bouchard talked about the importance of reading, and shared personal experiences about himself and his children.
