Story:, Leipzig Serenity Retreat held another wonderful event Nov. 11. The Retreat played host to an evening of dining and entertainment. Guests were treated to supper followed by a concert featuring the talented musician Dave Gunning.

The Neilburg/Marsden Minor Hockey Association advises a special slot has been created, twice a week, for children to skate with sticks and pucks allowed.

The recreation board for the RM of Glenside held a meeting Nov. 5 at the home of Lexie Dehr of Lizard Lake. Board members from the three districts within the RM attended.

Through the money raised by their haunted house, North Battleford's Comprehensive High School's Comp In Action presented a donation of $468.20 to the Western Development Museum. The Comp In Action is an extra-curricular club at NBCHS.

On Saturday, Nov. 10, a number of Waseca and area residents took advantage of Garon Coach Lines series of pre-Christmas trips to Edmonton. Arlee Lumgair, Sandra Sutherland, Bev Hult and Shirley James boarded the coach at Waseca.

Staff and students paid their respects to the soldiers who participated and continue to participate in military action throughout the world, Nov. 8. This year the flag bearers who escorted Legion members into the gym were Donald and Morgan Miriam.

Several members of the Battlefords Art Club used their artistic abilities to paint on the large mural the club is creating for the City of North Battleford's 100th anniversary celebrations in 2013.

The big news these days is the weather. Remembrance Day morning, the thermometer read -24 C. As the day progressed we enjoyed a sunny day. The hoar frost and snow on the trees made beautiful scenery. There was no wind.

Clythemane Shorthorns - Glenn, Sheri, Duncan and Rachel Sutherland of Borden - did well in the purebred shorthorn classes at the Saskatoon Fall Fair, Nov. 7 to 10.
