In a small, dimly lit room in the Humboldt Uniplex, a hard-core band by the name of Lucid Skies played in front of a packed crowd last Thursday. "It's good that we're on tour.

This month the artist showcase at the Humboldt & District Museum & Gallery is a bit different than in months past.

A void in the community of Humboldt will be filled, at least for the next little while. Four local organizations have been awarded a grant to use, in partnership, toward addressing literacy needs of area residents.

In its third year, the Marigold Market attracted the attention of art and craft lovers over Friday and Saturday at the Chapel Gallery in North Battleford. Organizer Rose Stadnyk said they had 22 vendors at the art, craft and food fair.

The Battlefords Art Club is preparing for its annual fall show and sale entitled "Sparkle With Art" on Friday Nov. 1 from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Chapel Gallery.
