LEROY — Humboldt-Lanigan RCMP are asking for the public's help after two men walking on the 100 block of LeRoy's First Avenue were robbed at gunpoint. The two pedestrians were approached by a black Ford F350 truck during the evening of June 28.

Battleford will remember veterans differently this year, and in upcoming years. Printed banners honouring local veterans will hang from light posts this year, Fred Light Museum manager Bernadette Leslie told the News-Optimist.

HUMBOLDT — Four separate businesses in the industrial part of Humboldt were broken into, with goods stolen. In the overnight hours of June 23 and 24, entry was forced into fenced compounds, as well as several storage units, on Fourth Avenue West.
