COCHIN — Witnesses say an unmanned speed boat came flying across Jackfish Lake at about 5:40 p.m. Saturday and slammed into the front of a cabin in the Hunt’s Cove area.

Fire alarms caused a little excitement at Fabricland at about 10:15 a.m. Monday. North Battleford Fire Department reports the alarms were activated by fogging being used to remove smoke odour.

RCMP Daily Report

The Battlefords RCMP is requesting assistance from the public for information relating to a shooting incident. On Wednesday, July 22, at approximately 7 p.m., RCMP responded to a complaint of a male shot on the 1800 block of 101st Street.

The transition towards the city’s takeover of waste management services from previous contractor K & B continues. Council had previously approved a resolution to take over waste management instead of contracting out the service.
