The ban on open-air burning in North Battleford and the RM of North Battleford has been lifted. Fire Chief Albert Headrick confirmed the fire ban would be lifted at Monday’s Planning Committee meeting at City Hall.

RCMP received several reports shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday of a black bear seen in the area of St. Laurent Drive. The animal was located a short time later having taken shelter in a tree along Territorial Drive East near St. Laurent Drive.
