Planned burn
The City of North Battleford is conducting a planned burn of the clean wood pile today at its waste management facility. Although there will be some smoke from this burn, there is no danger whatsoever to people or property.

Ashtray ignites garbage can
A fire in an apartment building at 1191 – 99th St. forced the evacuation of one floor of residents at about 1:20 p.m. Thursday. According to the North Battleford Fire Department the fire started in a trash can and spread to a nearby sofa.

Sask. SPCA ends enforcement role
