Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 25 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Sunday, April 13 and 6 a.m. Monday, April 14. During that period there were four false alarms, two traffic related occurrences and seven false/nuisance calls.

At 8:43 p.m. on Sunday April 13, 2014 Battlefords Rural RCMP responded to a complaint of an escaped prisoner. Joseph Simon Peter Yaremko, 32 years of age, escaped from the Saskatchewan Hospital located near North Battleford, Saskatchewan.
