North Battleford RCMP responded to approximately 59 calls for service between Wednesday, May 27 and Thursday, May 28.
Wednesday
• A 33-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault after an incident that happened around 1:50 p.m. on the 1000 block of 107th Street. The male was very intoxicated at the time and there were no injuries.
• Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle collision on the corner of 100th Street and 11th Avenue at 7:00 p.m. There were no injuries and one vehicle had to be towed from the intersection.
• There was a report at 9:41 p.m. of an intoxicated woman throwing rocks toward the street on the 1100 block of 100th Street and hitting vehicles as they passed by. Officers located a woman matching the description and she was held in custody until she was sober.
• There was noise complaint called in regarding a residence on the 1000 block of 109th Street at 10:08 p.m. Officers attended the residence and gave a warning to keep the noise down.
• Officers went to a residence after a complaint was made at 10:10 p.m. that there was an intoxicated female youth causing problems on the 1500 block of 105 Street. The youth was arrested and held in custody to prevent any further issues and she was released when she was sober.
• There was a report at 11:46 p.m. of a small, but loud, group of people outside on 19th Avenue. Two youth were located nearby and one youth was very intoxicated and was arrested for being intoxicated in public. The youth was released to a parent and was given a ticket for consuming alcohol as a minor.
Thursday
• Officers attended a residence on the 1000 block of 113th Street just after midnight after someone called to report their friend, who was intoxicated, was causing problems. The friend was told to leave the house and not to come back for the rest of the night to prevent any further issues.
• Someone called to report a vehicle stolen at 1:06 a.m. from the 1700 block of St. Laurent Drive, stating they thought they knew who might have taken it. The complainant called back to say that the vehicle had been located parked down the road and they no longer required police assistance.
Also during this time period, one person was arrested for alcohol-related offences, there were six disturbances reported, seven traffic complaints, one minor collision, three nuisance 911 calls, two false alarms, and one person reported missing who has already been located.
