Battlefords RCMP are seeking assistance from the public in locating 41-year-old Carmelle Carleton.
Police say Carleton failed to return at a scheduled time at Saskatchewan Hospital Tuesday after signing herself out of the unit and is unlawfully at large. There is a warrant for her arrest.
According to the RCMP, she was last seen at a business outside of Saskatoon Tuesday and possibly travelled into the city. She may travel to the Melfort area, but that is unconfirmed at this time. She also has ties to the province of Ontario.
Carleton is described as a Caucasian female, dark brown hair, but is known to dye it blonde or red, brown eyes, 5’5” and approximately 165 lbs. She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater and brown pants.
Carleton was previously charged with an offence involving youth under the age of 14. Information obtained leads investigators to believe there may be a risk for her to re-offend, police say.
