The Government of Saskatchewan has procured six million disposable masks for schools in Saskatchewan with an investment of $2.3 million. This represents a supply of masks for school divisions until the end of the calendar year.

There are 23 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Aug. 7, bringing the total to 1,409 cases. The new cases are located in the North West (1), Saskatoon (3), Central East (2), Regina (2), South West (3) and South Central (12) zones.

On Wednesday, Aug. 5, at approximately 2 a.m., Prince Albert RCMP responded to a report of a break, enter and theft at a residence in the village of Christopher Lake.

There was a small crowd of a half a dozen people supporting the event “Mask up for Education” happening all over the province Friday. NDP Amber Stewart seen in a pink mask came out to support the cause.

UPDATE: Saturday morning, Battlefords RCMP indicated Cassidy Kiskotagan has been located. BACKGROUND: Battlefords RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in locating 17-year-old Cassidy Kiskotagan.

At 3:24 a.m. Aug. 6, Kamsack RCMP were called to a complaint of a motor vehicle collision involving an SUV and a pedestrian on Highway 8 near the Keeseekoose First Nation, north of Kamsack.

It has been some time since the Town of Hudson Bay website was designed and the town council has agreed that it will need an upgrade.

On Aug. 6, at approximately 6:15 a.m., Melville RCMP responded to a serious single motor vehicle collision on Highway 10 approximately 1.5 miles southwest of Melville.

The number of bear inquiries received by Saskatchewan Environment between the months of April and July are up 14 per cent from last year’s 525 inquiries to this year’s just over 600 inquiries.
