A lockdown at Mosquito First Nation was lifted around 6 p.m. They were put under lockdown around 2 p.m. Aug. 6 after a man allegedly uttered threats and RCMP believed he had a firearm.

UPDATE: One adult male was arrested without incident outside a residence on Mosquito First Nation Thursday by the RCMP Emergency Response Team, say RCMP.

Wednesday afternoon, at approximately 3 p.m., members from the Hutterian Emergency Aquatic Response Team (HEART) recovered the body of the six-year-old boy who disappeared in Makwa Lake on June 23.

Battlefords RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 30-year-old Labrina Shirley from North Battleford. RCMP are concerned about her well-being and believe she may be in a vulnerable state.

A preliminary hearing is set for an Onion Lake man charged with shooting his neighbour. Christopher Cook, 26, had two more court appearances in Lloydminster Provincial Court Aug.
