More measures have been taken by the provincial government to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Schools that serve pre-K to Grade 12 students in Saskatchewan will be suspended indefinitely, effective Friday, March 20, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. For the period of March 16 to March 19, pre K-12 classes will wind down.

SaskTel is waiving data overage charges and providing its television customers with extra channels as a response to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Alberta has closed K to 12 schools starting immediately until further notice in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19. As well, all licensed child care facilities, out-of-school care programs and preschool programs are closed indefinitely.

While concern over spread of Coronavirus COVID-19 continues to rise, the risk in Saskatchewan still remains low but is increasing, according to a government press release.

Schools in Saskatchewan are being kept open for now in the face of COVID-19 Manitoba is closing its schools from March 23 until April 13. Ontario is closing schools from March 14 to April 5. Alberta is not closing its schools at this point.
