Calgary, Maidstone - Husky Energy announced on Aug. 26 it has commenced production at its Dee Valley thermal project in Saskatchewan, the second of six 10,000-barrel-per-day thermal bitumen projects to be brought onstream from 2018 to 2022.

Today at 1:23 p.m., RCMP officers from the Wadena Detachment were called to a residence on the Fishing Lake First Nation. A caller reported to police that an adult male was causing a disturbance outside a residence and was armed with a weapon.

LANIGAN — A homemade go kart was stolen from a home on Lanigan’s Clement Place. Humboldt-Lanigan RCMP said it was stolen sometime during the night of Aug. 24. The Go Kart is approximately 6’ long by 3’ wide and is made of yellow 1” square tubing.
