Cut Knife-Turtleford MLA Larry Doke was pleased with what transpired at the recent Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER) summit in Saskatoon.

Submitted The Eagle Hills Multiple 4-H Club awarded four senior members each with a $500 club scholarship to assist them in their post-secondary education. Two members were also recipients of 4-H Saskatchewan Scholarships.

Reaction has poured in to the recent announcement by Herb Cox that he is not running for a third term as MLA for the Battlefords. Cox confirmed July 24 that he is not seeking re-election in the fall 2020 vote.

TISDALE — The Tisdale RCMP stopped a household break-in in action. On Aug. 4, the detachment received a call about a possible break-and-enter at a Tisdale residence. The household residents weren’t home at the time of call.

Battlefords RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a theft at a business on the 1100 block of 101st Street in North Battleford. Shortly after 11 a.m.

NIPAWIN — Haley Tratch was one of several Nipawin residents who had their bicycles stolen this summer. Her bike was taken from a fenced in backyard on the night between July 29 and 30.

HUMBOLDT — Some botched attempts at charity ended up harming the organization it was meant to benefit. On Aug. 3, somebody dumped a coach outside of the Good Neighbour Store, which does not accept donations unless it is brought inside.
