The Fred Light Museum was abuzz Friday as it hosted its Old Fashioned Family Fun Day. Attractions included horse and wagon rides, a nail-pounding activity, a blacksmith demo, and music and entertainment.

NIPAWIN — A $300 million six year project to extend the life of the EB Campbell hydroelectric station started this week. The six generator units in the dam were commissioned in 1963 and 1964 and were designed for a lifespan of 50 years.
