The 2018 city budget is out, and it’s not as painful as many had expected.

The next phase of the long process to replace the North Battleford Civic Centre has gotten the green light at council Monday. Council has voted to go ahead with a contract with Group2 Architecture for the Civic Centre preliminary replacement study.

The Tisdale Trojans pelted away at the Saskatoon Blazers, but a strong defense resulted in a 3-1 loss for the Trojans. At the away game Nov. 29, the Trojans made 39 shots, while the Blazers only made 28.

Police are reporting that on Nov. 22 at 5:24 a.m., a residence was broken into on 1st Ave. in Battleford. Numerous firearms and ammunition were stolen; the suspects were scared off by the homeowner.
