The City of Humboldt once again is faced with two senior staff resigning. This time with City Manager Roy Hardy and Director of Communications and Community Development Jennifer Brooks leaving during the summer months.

It used to belong to the City of Humboldt but as of Sept. 1, the Good Neighbour Store board will have ownership of their own building.

Events surrounding the Saskatchewan Handcraft Festival have been leaving Battleford and area residents asking questions. For the first time in 42 years, the Saskatchewan Handcraft Festival won’t take place as it would have around this time of year.

A former MLA who represented Tisdale and Melfort will receive the Saskatchewan Order of Merit this fall. Rod Gantefoer will be among ten extraordinary people that will receive the honour.

The Treaty 6 flag is going to be permanently mounted at City Hall. North Battleford city council unanimously passed a resolution in favour of a permanent placement of the Treaty 6 flag at their Monday meeting.

It was smooth sailing Monday night at city council for the proposal for downtown incentives. City council unanimously passed a resolution in favor of the downtown revitalization incentive policy that had been introduced last month.

Melfort council is questioning the fairness of a policy that’s designed to ensure there’s construction on property sold by the city, as opposed to having it remaining empty, held by real estate speculators.
