By the Club Reporters Eagle Hills Multiple 4-H Club has had an extremely busy spring. The club was active in organizing and participating in Club, District, Regional and Provincial Public Speaking.

I am writing this is lieu of Canada’s 150th Birthday. This is a story about my mother’s ancestors and how they came to Canada, and specifically, to the Battlefords area.

This year, the 73rd annual Battlefords 4-H Regional Show was held on Saturday, June 10, at the Battlefords Exhibition Grounds. It was a fun-filled day for all our 4-H competitors who came out and competed in their select projects.

For the second year in a row, the North Battleford Sectional Tournament for bridge was held at the Gold Eagle Casino’s banquet room. North Saskatchewan Unit 575 and the North Battleford and Meota bridge clubs hosted the event.

On July 10, 2017, at about 11:20 p.m., Battlefords RCMP stopped a white Ford F350 in the city after it went through a controlled intersection without stopping. The truck stopped for police, then backed into the front end of a police truck.
