Battlefords RCMP responded to 40 calls for service over the time period July 10, 6 a.m., to July 11th, 6 a.m., including but not limited to the following: 8:36 p.m. Police called to an assault on the 1600 block of 101 St. in North Battleford.

The North Battleford Lions Club made a donation of $30,000 to the Western Development Museum recently. Accepting the donation is Joyce Smith, manager of the WDM North Battleford. Making the donation is Gib Volk and Lion member Mervin Stepko.

July 4, Carla Huard, who runs a child dayhome in Battleford, was heading with her charges to the local park when the Town of Battleford garbage truck pulled up. The driver got out and handed all the kids a sucker.
