By Melanie Jacob Journal Editor The tragedy that struck the nation during last week's shooting in Ottawa reverberated across the country as provincial representatives were forced to barricade against the threat.

The new University of Saskatchewan Feed Research Centre in North Battleford has officially opened.

Partisanship fell by the wayside this week as people of all political stripes reacted with solidarity and shows of patriotism in the wake of the shooting tragedy in Ottawa.

The North Battleford RCMP detachment received approximately 25 calls for service between 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28.

One person was transported to Battlefords Union Hospital by WPD Ambulance Sunday at about 9 p.m. after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 101st Street and 12th Avenue.

The North Battleford RCMP detachment responded to more than 90 calls for service between 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24 and 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27. The following are a selection of the calls made during that time.
