The North Battleford Parks and Recreation Committee approved three more community grant applications at their meeting Nov.18.

Almost all the key pieces are in place in transforming the town of Battleford. Within the next month, a new Tim Hortons restaurant and new Kramer Ltd. building are set to open.

Between 6 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 and 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, Battlefords RCMP responded to 30 occurrences/calls for service, one of which was a false 911 call.Thursday 7:52 a.m.

Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 40 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 and 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25. Of those three were false or nuisance 911: calls, six were alarms and there were three reports of erratic driving.

Building permits and permit values were up in the month of October in North Battleford.

Two jackknifed semis caused havoc with traffic west of the Battlefords early Monday morning. Battlefords RCMP responded to the scene 20 kilometres west on Highway 16 at 6:40 a.m. At that point the westbound lane was completely blocked. By 7 a.m.

One person was transported to Battlefords Union Hospital Sunday evening after a single vehicle rollover 14 kilometres east of the city on Highway 40. North Battleford Fire Department responded to the crash with three personnel and one rescue unit.

Two people have been charged after Unity RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence east of there Friday.

Two women are facing assault and drug charges after a 911 call to police Saturday at about 11:45 a.m. Saturday.

Between 6 a.m. Friday. Nov. 22 and 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, Battlefords RCMP responded to 20 occurrences/reported incidents. Three were alarm calls and two were 911 misdials or children playing with phones Friday 7:30 a.m.
