They will not be forgotten. That was the message that organizers of the Humboldt Broncos Memorial Golf Tournament want the Broncos, the families, and the community to remember moving forward.

The Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association wrapped up its 2018 season this past weekend in Lloydminster at the Denham Ram Tough CPCA Finals. At stake was the final dash for cash to determine the winner for the season.

A sure sign that hockey season is around the corner is the fact that fall camp for the Battlefords AAA Stars took place this past weekend Aug. 18 and 19.

After a slow start to the season the Bruno Merchants are turning their fortunes around after the club picked up a doubleheader sweep over the Saskatoon Tint Center Cubs on Aug. 8 in Saskatoon.

It may not have been the end of the season the Muenster Midget AAA Red Sox were looking for, but the club showcased plenty of promise for the future in a rebuilding year for the club.

A common sight in the arena every August in seeing members of the Humboldt Broncos coaching up young kids at their annual minor hockey camp. With the April 6 accident, the Broncos were not in a position to organize this year’s camp.

The Battlefords North Stars are in need of a new marketing and office manager. The club confirmed on their website that their marketing/office manager the past two seasons, Caitlin Gray, has departed for the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades.

The Stanley Cup is officially coming to Humboldt.

Area athlete Jenna McFadyen has come home with medals following a successful National Legion Track and Field Championships in Brandon, Man. The Waseca competitor competed for Team Saskatchewan in the steeple events.
