With one week left in the regular season for the Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League, the Hafford Hawks find themselves in the driver’s seat when it comes to earning home ice advantage through the playoffs.

Midget AA It was an up-and-down week for the Midget AA Broncos as they managed just a 1-1 record in two contests. The Broncos kicked off their week on a high note as they picked up a 5-4 win over Battleford on Jan. 20 in Humboldt.

In their previous two meetings this year, it took overtime to decide the winner between the Battlefords North Stars and the Nipawin Hawks. On Friday night at the Civic Centre, the visitors made sure that an extra frame of hockey wasn’t needed.
