Ex-North Stars player, Blake Tatchell, has signed an amateur tryout contract with the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League.

The Battlefords SSFA 55 plus provincial games of curling took place this week at the Northland Power Curling Centre. Eleven squads competed for a spot at the National competition held in Brampton, Ont.

Skate Humboldt hosted their year-end skating show on Mar. 13 where the skaters were able to show off the skills that they learned throughout the year. This year the club had a theme of shining bright, said President, Troy Lucyshyn.

With the season now in the books, the Humboldt Broncos handed out their year-end awards at the Pioneer Hotel on Mar. 8 before the players went their separate ways for the summer.

Table Mountain Ski and Board Club hosted a skills camp on Friday before back-to-back days of racing for the Nancy Greene Finals. Five teams from across the province with Sask Alpine were involved in the race, ages five to 14.

Well, here we go, the stage is set for the SJHL playoffs. The Battlefords North Stars have found their first round opponent, another date with the Kindersley Klippers.

The Meota Combines enjoyed a successful regular season, finishing in third place with a 13-3-0-2 record. Recently they fell to the Edam Three Stars in game four of the second round, losing by a score of 5-4.
