Carr had long association with Notre Dame

Hugh Carr, a Notre Dame Hounds pitcher, is being inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame. Born Hugo Raymond Dombowsky, Oct. 13, 1929, he died Hugh Carr, Nov. 16, 1972. He grew up in Avonlea.

Make up games set stage for playoffs

The Battlefords Ladies' Fastball League was in action three nights this week, making up games to tie up the regular season, with playoffs slated to start Monday. Monday night the Unity Bantams 2 slugged out an 8-3 victory over the Survivors.
