The Battlefords got a taste of university-level women's hockey on the weekend, but the experience left a bitter taste for the Regina Cougars.

It was a tough and somewhat upsetting weekend for the Battlefords Sharks in AAA female midget action against the Regina Rebels. The Rebels came in and swept the two games at Battleford Arena, both by counts of 3-1.

The Vikings felt more confident heading into the 3A high school football game against Tommy Douglas, but fell short once again.

The Battlefords Midgets Stars came home with one of four possible points from their weekend road trip to Yorkton.
